One of our favourite walks is from Castle Drogo (National Trust) https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/castle-drogo at Drewsteignton, there is the Hunters Path or Fishermans path so you can do a circular walk with The Fingle Bridge Inn on the river half way for a pint or a heart meal or snack. Amazing views from high path and beautiful river walk too.

If you don’t mind jumping in the car, 5 minutes down the road is the village of Chagford where there are also a range of very good eateries. The Three Crowns and the Chagford Inn to name just two. A similar distance away in Sandy Park is the Mill End another coaching house with excellent food; fantastic Sunday lunch.
